Soccer in the U.S. is largely an equivalency-style sport: coaches divide a limited scholarship budget across the roster (House-settlement roster limits apply from 2025-26). Full rides are rare. Pay-to-play can still be worth it for development, joy, and access - just not as a pure financial bet.
